It broke my heart to have to miss the world premier, but our little gem of a documentary “Reconvergence” apparently blew minds, drew tears, and got rave reviews and was reported by the crew to be big, loud, and beautiful on the silver screen. February 17th, 2012“Reconvergence” is finally complete!!!
What a journey… what a film. ”Reconvergence” is by far the most brilliant, spiritual and timely documentary I have ever had the pleasure of working on. It required me composing 90 minutes of continuous music with hardly a breath EVER! Not to mention, 90 minutes of dialogue clean-up, sound design, and mixing. WHEW!!! And in the end, it was so worth the labor. I can’t wait for the world to experience this true masterpiece. It’s like the human version of “Koyaanisqatsi,” it is visually stunning, relevant, challenging, enlightening, intoxicating, and ultimately uplifting. You will never think of chickens in the same way again, I promise…. See the trailer! Become a fan!!!
February 17th, 2012“The Kill Hole” premiers @ SBIFF
“The Kill Hole,” for which I completed all original music, sound design, sound editing, mixing, and mastering, premiered at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival on January 28, 2012. Present were director Mischa Webley, producer Zach Hagan, stars Billy Zane, Tory Kittles, Chadwick Bosemen (now staring in the new Jackie Robinson biopic opposite Harrison Ford), and yours truly. It was one amazing week in the beautiful sunny, 72 degree weather. We all even attended Martin Scorsese’s 3 hour film discussion together, then partied ’till they threw us out. It was grand. Reviews and response have been phenomenal so far.. Fingers crossed!!! See pics here!

What a year it’s already been for AUDIOWELLS. James Westby’s “Rid of Me” wrapped in Feb only to premier at Tribeca in NYC and go on to win “Best US Fiction Film” at Michael Moore’s TCFF, all original music and sound for the brilliant and haunting Mischa Webley feature “The Kill Hole” starring Billy Zane was completed in late July, and now I set sail scoring and sound-painting the remarkable documentary “Reconvergence” by Edward Tyndell and Mobius Films. I’ll sleep when I’m old…

Yes, it did!!! WOW!!!! Way to go James and Katie and the entire cast and crew! This was a huge labor of love for all of us and it looks like the rewards are abundant with a NYC , LA, and Portland release on the horizon. Our baby’s all grown up….
May 6th, 2011“Rid of Me” Premiers at Tribeca; receives RAVE reviews!!!
“Rid of Me” delighted New York audiences and critics alike for its world premier at the Tribeca Film Festival. Variety’s John Anderson noted the film was “all held together by a terrific soundtrack.” It was an amazing two weeks in NYC for the cast and crew. Congratulations everyone on a truly wonderful film. Now, it’s back to finishing the score for “The Kill Hole.”
February 11th, 2011Out with the new, in with the newer!
After one full year spent composing the Original Music and completing all Mixing, Editing, and Sound Design, James Westby’s “Rid of Me” begins its festival run. There will be an exciting announcement made in the weeks ahead. Now, AUDIOWELLS begins all Sound Design (and possible scoring!) for Mischa Webley’s amazing new feature “The Kill Hole” starring Billy Zane. If Terrence Malick directed an action film, it would come out like this… What a fun ride this will be!!!!
